MY BAND'S BIO




Slither was created on April 23, 2010 when Angelo Voltura asked his friened Andy Howard if he wanted to play in a band because they both play guitar. He said yes and went to find and drummer. They new another firend of there's that plays drums, and he agreed to play. They just need a bass guitarist and a lead singer to be all set.

Silther has gone through extensive name changes since it was orginally founded in 2007. Angelo attended a two-week course each summer to tech him how to play all instruments in a rock band. Him and a few friends decided that they liked playing together and formed Slither under the name of Ticket 2 Anywhere. They thought that name sucked and thier bassist at the time dropped out (it was a two person band at the time). This left Angelo with no one to play with and went on with daily life while keeping the band idea in the back of his head.

In late 2007, Angelo went to school an talked to his friends about learning to play instruments to play in a band with him. They all agreed but never took any action. They all eventually got together and formed a band called Armageddon. They didn't play much, and the band fell apart.

In July of 2008, Angelo attended his two-week course again. He talked with some of his friends, but still couldn't get anything going. Desperate, he took immediate actions to form something to jam with during some free time when he was taking his course. He named the band Armageddon again, and th band stayed together but didn't do too much until 2009, when 3 of the bands members left due to some personal issues.

As though almost all seemed lost, he left the idea of playing in a band abandoned until one day when his friend of ten years ask him if he wanted to play n a band. He immediatly jumped into the situation and they quickly formed a band, and again called it Armageddon. When a family member to the lead vocalist thought that Armageddon as a band name sounded gay, they thought about it and changed it immediatly. They couldn't think of anything even after extensive brainstorming, unti one day their singer walked into thier English class and she said, "I guess we are remaining nameless". Angelo misunderstood her, and thought that she said that was the bands new name. She laughed and said it sounded good after explaining herself, and they decided to keep it.

After a few weeks Angelo went to now former drummer Ben Castleman to ask him if he wanted to play drums for the band. He agreed, and after a few jam sessions, it was official that he was in.

After finding out that his girlfriend was playing in a band, drummer Randy Barclay wanted to play really bad with them. The former singer Kaitlyn Wujek refused to let him in and arguing with the satement that if he played, if the two of them broke up they would argue and the band would deteriorate. A long heated debate between the drummer at the time Ben and the wanna-be Randy, it turned out that Ben had to leave the band for personal reasons. In return, Randy joined, and Kaitlyn left. The band play a few more sessions, and then slowed down activity until a un-noticed break-up of the band in January, 2010.

Then, in April 2010, Angelo talked to a friend of his who he was teacing to play guitar, and wanted to know if he wanted to play in a band. He immediatly agreed and they started looking for a drummer. They knew Randy very well and decided to ask him to play. He also agreed, and they are currently looking for a bassist and vocalist. They have posted some ads online and are waiting for a reply. While walking to luch that same day, they were brainstorming names for the new band. Andy (Rythym Guitarist) said "SnakeSide". Angelo blurted out "SideWinder" almost immediatly after, and that name was kept until two days later, when Andy texted Angelo while Angelo was turkey hunting and it said "Dude I just came up with an awesome name". Since there new manager Chris Parker had already made FaceBook, MySpace, and YouTube accounts for SideWinder, a name change was not very favorable. Andy said the name was Slither, and Chris reluctantly agreed to change the name. To this day the band is known as Slither, and they are going places.

Hey guys, I recently got in a band sometime (maybe 2 months?) and I just wanted to do a little bio
The drummer Jay and the Rhythm guitarist Mikey jammed for a long time and they had members but they weren't that good. Mikey met our lead guitarist, Jonathan at school and they discussed the band and he said, sure ill jam and Ill bring a great bassist too! About a week before that, Jonathan played at a talent show, this is when I met him and said I wanted to be in a band with him. Once the band was formed, I basically trolled them by posting probably the worst cover of For Whom The Bell Tolls the world has ever heard. Everyone was questioning me but they said "eh, what could possibly go wrong?" I was the last to show up and I had my bass, a big amp and about 17 pedals. With Cliff Burton as my main bass influence I show up and before anyone started playing I set up and did Pulling teeth, almost perfectly. Their jaw dropped and they thought I may be too good for the band but when we all did Creeping Death, we knew we were destined to be in a band together

Actually, we just lost our lead guitarist.
Hes heavily christian and we kept pushing to do a few satanic songs so he got pished and left.

Damn that sucks balls.
